Nor can we attribute the label of "whiteness" to the Aurignacians. Various reconstructions of later human faces show that Europeans were still fairly dark up to 10,000 years ago, though people seem to dismiss these as "inaccurate." Even so, the Aurignacians are much closer to the out-of-Africa event for AMH than anyone else. (7/12)
