@sebsauvage @smeg Windows Update has been awful in XP times, and it's only gotten worse as time goes on (if you did a clean install of Windows 7 SP1 from about 2016 onwards, it took over 24 hours for Windows Update to just calculate which updates were needed, during which time it would consume 100% CPU constantly). It also doesn't help that the updates seem to be hosted on dial-up connections, and that the progress indicators have no connection with reality.
