@chrismarquardt @blinry +1 for post ID, and then just a suffix in case of multiple files should be enough.
Threadcat could also download the image‘s alt text and store it either in a plain text file with same filename (.txt) or even add it right to the image as EXIF metadata.

@ron @blinry Sidecar file sounds reasonable. I wouldn’t try to cram an unknown amount of AASCII into the EXIF data.
