@nick @ahaldorsen The mutual aid tech collective https://ukrudt.net/ ( @ukrudt ) avoids wordpress, instead making lightweight and easily maintained websites using lichen-markdown.
They're cool people and ukrudt works, I recommend learning from them

@papiris@fribygda.no @nick@bath.social @ahaldorsen@tutoteket.no @ukrudt@sydfyn.social Yeah I guess the thing that works is social technology :) in the sense that ukrudt.net is collectively organized - and one leg of our practice is open workshops where people learn to build and maintain their own websites. In this way the projects themselves can take ownership over their websites. And the small-tech approach with e.g. lichen-markdown supports this, echoing the small tech ethos: use just enough technology
