@samueljohnson @EF @Kerplunk @chatcontrol I consider EU more of a peace project. The UK by tough negotiation was in a very favored position within the group before Brexit. Somehow dishonest politicians persuaded the electorate that the opposite was the case.

@samueljohnson @smallcircles @Kerplunk @chatcontrol not going to assume where you live or what you may or may not know. The presumption the British do not understand the EU is a bold statement. Many Brits voted leave because Leave were ignorant and arrogant in their approaches whereas Remain were hammering the cost of membership, immigration and interference. Based on recent 'policies' returning to vote due to the pressure form lobbiests and the corruption within the EU (read the recent reports on this), not only has the EU stepped well outside is original scope it is now doing the bidding for others rather than for the good of its citizens. If you wish to believe the EU is marvellous then do so. Yes they have done some wonderful things. Many of their actions and a lot of their inaction outweigh the good and the bitter treatment of certain countries during disagreements is appauling.
