First power at Sofia wind farm!
That's now three of the four massive offshore wind farms at Dogger Bank generating electricity.
At around 7:30am yesterday morning the first of the Siemens Gamesa 14MW wind turbines at Sofia exported electricity to the grid.
It continued exporting throughout the day before being disconnected overnight and then reconnected again around 7:00am today.
No doubt more turbines will come online in the coming days and weeks.

Nearby Dogger Bank B also has also recently started exporting to the grid, with an estimated six turbines installed so far (according to REMIT). Both are starting to catch up Dogger Bank A which, while having all of it's 96 turbines installed, is currently ramping generating back up again after hitting a few hurdles during construction. Once all three wind farms are complete they'll be outputting a combined 3.8GW on windy days, that's a hell of a lot of power being extracted from the wind.

@robhawkes@fosstodon.org I first read that as Sofa wind farm, which is a very different thing.
