Today was a good day. My friend and I went up to Manchester, Vermont to one of our favorite places for lunch. It is sort of an Irish pub and has good food. Our favorite bartender was not working which was sad. The food was good as always. I had a wrap called "high on the hog". It was a red pepper wrap with ham, goat cheese, publano peppers, vacon and fig jam. It was served with fries. I brought half of it home and Bruno had it for his lunch. My friend and I split dessert which was lemon cream cake. Sooo good! Then we went to Mother Myrick's Confectionary, a wonderful bakery and candy store. I bought cherry and raspberry pie and a couple of their almond heart cookies thathave raspberry jam in the middle. Then we went to the Village chocolate shop in Bennington VT. I bought a pound of milk chocolate covered jellies: half was orange and half raspberry. I also bought a half pound of chocolate covered cherries which of course have liquid centers. Chocolate covered cherries cannot, and I repeat cannot, have cream centers! So it was a food filled day. Bruno and I went to see a bluegrass band called Red Skies tonight at one of our favorite venues. We met friends there and it was a good evening. Tomorrow will be a day of quiet as I had enough peopling today! Smile.
