Fact is between shit like fleeing anti-trans legislation in my former home of North Carolina, the traumatizing ending of my last job, navigating family estrangement, the death of my hashtag (#YourSlipIsShowing) co-creator, getting my health together for gender affirming surgeries and the fun discoveries that have come with that process (hello fibroids!!), getting my mental health together and the exhausting process and even more fun discoveries that come with that (hello ARFID, hello OCD!!), watching my work with #YourSlipIsShowing be erased in real time via misgendering (sometimes thoughtless sometimes intentional), a couple of COVID infections, and discovering that the Epstein horror actually touches me directly twice over, one of them being the guy's role in the founding of the site that spurred the need for #YSIS in the first place..............yeah. Mans (me) is burnt out. Thoroughly. Like I can’t even fake it no more.

And that’s before we get to the bleak, bleak, BLEAK picture of employment for Black gender minorities in the U.S. Black cis women ended 2025 with an unemployment rate of 7.5%*, and while I haven’t been able to track down current numbers for Black trans folks of any gender, past reports have Black trans folks at twice the unemployment rate of Black cis folks, more likely to live in poverty than Black cis folks, and generally experiencing higher rates of transphobia than non-Black trans people**. I know that doesn't fix it, but I just want to validate you here, because that's fuck ton of shit to be on your plate. I hope you get some time to slow down and reflect in the near future. @so_treu That's all intense. How you feel about it all is so valid. You deserve so much better. As a fellow trans person, can relate to some of it. We're dealing with scary and threatening shit. Just remember you are valid, you matter, and you aren't alone. Hugs if you want or need it.
