@wyatt8740@tech.lgbt @hazelnoot@transfem.social eh it wasn't that i just notice a lot of people (not saying you would) usually say "but crypto is bad!!" (and for good reason) and i wanted to make it clear i'm not a cryptobro (cryptosis?) but it's the only way (for example, gnu taler isn't used anywhere (would that even work for this purpose?))

@tauon yeah i don't feel that way about cryptocurrency funnily enough in theory it's fine, i even wanted to get into mining it in 2010-2011 or so after I first read about it but didn't have an even minimally acceptable GPU back then (intel integrated graphics circa 2009). Cryptobros destroying the planet came later and that drove me away from it but i still think the basic idea of a non-government decentralised currency is a nice one
