I just discovered that there's actually a plugin to have an actually pretty interface on #Koreader! Here's how it looks on my #Kobo Clara 2E! But it's super customizable and has a lot of modules and ways to arrange things, enjoy! https://github.com/doctorhetfield-cmd/simpleui.koplugin

@joel Oh, good find! I really like koreader, but I wouldn't say 'pretty' is a word that comes to mind when I pick up my kobo since installing it. I'll have to to this.

@joel I looked at it after seeing Elena's post, but I don't think it's for me. I only do three things with KOReader. Read books.Download books via OPDS.Open the next book. And I already have it configured the way I want, so all the information I want is visible and easily reachable.

  • @joel That looks very cool, will try it on my Tolino. Thanks for the hint!

@joel This might actually get me to use koreader as my default UI.

@joel it's a bit scary that it's not just an ordinary plugin but it patches various internal bits of koreader (and thus it's fundamentally tied to the koreader version it was developed for), but it's very cool and pretty indeed I hope that one day it'll find its way upstream 🙂
