We renamed SES to HardenedJS (hardenedjs.org) some years ago, but couldn’t bring ourselves to rename the npm package. One reason for coining HardenedJS, as distinct from ses in npm, is that ses is an implementation of HardenedJS. Moddable’s XS is a native implementation. The other is that some TC-39 delegates prefer a definition of “security” narrow enough that they don’t have to wake up and spend money for HardenedJS issues. So, @dckc observed, SES stands for “fearless coöperation”. #motto
