@temporary I think that the reticulum author (Mark Qvist) had no capacity or interest in holding the community strongly enough to ensure a certain direction of use. I may not even be politically aligned with him on everything, there's an occasionally libertarian edge to his writings. It'd be kind of nice if we could all agree as a baseline that harming humans is bad though. I'm not a complete pacifist, but in most cases the buyers of expensive military toys are the aggressors and imperialists.

@jadehopepunk I agree on the questionable stuff peppered in the docs, but I also don't believe that we need to or actually can be aligned on everything. I'm also not a fan of his esoteric tones among other things, but I think that I should alighn with others based on what we agree on and unless they've done crimes against humanity we can keep disagreeing on even major points and work together on the others. It's an attempt to address all the division and infighting that we have today on every level. a side-thought on the community management: it's nice to see a rising amount of people engaging with the project, but as someone who is just trying to get into reticulum, I feel that no longer having a central point of reference or a space where all the reticulum related development is discussed or at least collected makes the cost of adoption quite steep atm. I wish Mark had opened up the project and his website to a trusted successor or preferably to the group of the original contributors.
