Assignment: Read Volume I, Chapter 2 of Inside Macintosh, First Edition ("The Macintosh User Interface Guidelines"). Choose a modern piece of substantial desktop software. Compare the software's user interface design to the guidelines. How does it deviate? Are those deviations for the better or for the worse? Why? Explain your conclusions.

@alilly@solarpunk.moe Definitely. UI designers don’t even know why a menu is called that anymore. I’m not sure them reading it would be sufficient, though. I think it needs to be applied onto their forehead and hammered in. It’s thick, so it won’t hurt… much.
