@blinry oh, interesting approach, using a LineageOS container for Android apps. With an additional alternative Google Play Store frontend this could be a way forward. https://chaos.social/@daniel_bohrer/116102904409562091

  • @daniel_bohrer @blinry many GTK/libadwaita apps work well on mobile (at least all the GNOME Circle apps), flathub has a tag for apps that are known to work on mobile specifically The GNOME community in general have been putting in a lot of work to make it possible to build convergent apps! but yeah android apps are a must, we're hoping to get good support for SailfishOS appsupport which has even better integration

@daniel_bohrer @blinry I got DB Navigator running on Waydroid on PostmarketOS on OnePlus 6T, but I was not sure if it was running with full features, since did not get around testing before the hardware started failing on me probably due to charging-related overheating. If you only need timetables and route planning, on Gnome Mobile and Phosh you've got Railways. As to apps: Basically any graphical program that scales to a mobile devices screen and works with touch screen nicely also works here.
