There's a lot that was weird and mostly awful about our prior chief librarian, but one of the really weirdest ass things was that dude hated signage. Like he just strongly disliked having signs in the library that told you where things were. I don't know why.

@adr@mastodon.social I don't have enough fingers to count the number of times per day that someone asks me a question that is answered by a sign that we can both see at the time. I don't hate them but I often wonder if anyone ever reads any of them...
