PhD students who write dissertation with AI less likely to stay in academia

If it were the absolute end goal for a PhD to continue on in academia this would be worrying. However because of how academia works with its very very limited number of open professor positions and terrible working conditions until you land tenure, it hasn’t been a prime choice for students for a while now.
