Spending this morning with #UteLemper 's superbly articulated "Berlin Cabaret Songs". In German. For people into "Babylon Berlin"; this is a great step up to the real thing; if you know a singer who does Weimar cabaret better, in this day & age, please let me know.
I adore this album as it perfectly captures the '20's/'30s Berlin naughtiness with humour and a wink.

Ute Lemper's Weiman songs is a gay theme I do not mind making a knee fall for... The way she rolls them R's and gurgles them G's; it's like a perfect time machine.
