My electric toothbrush just failed, i've pried it open and some water must have got in, some of the componants are rusted and it's no longer turning on/off reliably, so i'm not going to try to repair, just recycle the bits properly. So to a new electric toothbrush. #AskingFedi Is there a toothbrush out there where I can a) easily replace the battery AND b) buy biodegradeable replacement heads. I'm generally coming up with one but not the other. Am in the uk #righttorepair #biodegradeable

@AoifeGreenhamIllustrations@mastodon.ie €2 buys a pack of three toothbrushes and you get the bonus of finger exercise.

@AoifeGreenhamIllustrations@mastodon.ie I've replaced the NiCd battery in my cheapish Braun Oral B electric toothbrush. It meant unsoldering the old one and soldering on the new one, which seemed "easy" to me but I don't know if that meets your threshold. And, while I've never used them, I can see compatible biodegradable heads available to buy from eg. booheads. Edit: battery replacement is like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qgGlV_XbfYY
