That's what I was going to say.
It's a little bit like looking into the eyes of a lizard and trying to understand what it's thinking, or trying to understand 4 dimensional space. Most people including me just can't conceptualise it.
However, if you have complete and utter disregard for everyone else... and I mean you just can't muster up a single neuron's worth of compassion, then these guys are a stratospheric success.

More like wondering why is a lizard just eating barriers in front of him instead of solving world hunger & cold fusion. The later was never within it's mental sphere of cares or capabilities ... no idea how it became a wide belief system. Yet the lizard is behaving 100% as expected.
