after 8 years of working at GitHub i finally had reason to learn how git works; i guess in all this time i’ve only been working on the Hub parts anyways git it turns out is pretty cool and straight forward.

  • @phillmv wait github is a hub for gits? all this time i thought it was just two random words stuck together because people name things by having focus groups brainstorm lists of words, and you just cross everything that's already been trademarked off the list and go with what's left?

@phillmv the PRs team did a book club a few years ago where we read @jcoglan’s Building Git and it was an absolute delight of a read. It’s such a beautiful system!
