I think the problem with relying on the host feed having an API in it is that people that are self-hosting need to run a server and database.
I think it's much easier for an app to do this than someone self-hosting a feed.
Fountain / others could provide a service like this - but in my view it should be the sending app that uses this service to generate a URL for the payment description

@merryoscar @francosolerio I'm not sure we're particularly concerned with self-hosters much. Most people don't self-host, aren't interested in it, and those that do are already mostly tech savvy and end up running their own servers anyway.

@merryoscar @StevenB @francosolerio I'd be willing to run a free service for any app to post to at the same time as sending the payment, and then reference in the payment Obviously it would be better if every app hosted their own, but happy to help out apps that can't or don't want to host an endpoint
