@froztbyte no comment on all the other stuff, but with regards to timing we've been working on this behind the scenes for ages. The slowest part was actually getting the agreements written and setting up the ability for the Linux Foundation to take a donation specifically for just one project. Framework were ready before we were!

@hughsie Broadly: yeah, inter-org agreements with some of the big foss orgs can be daunting. I’ve seen edges of psf and other ones and.. 😅 To the latter part of your reply: I don’t think that framework being early, or ready before others, is *any* kind of meaningful signal. It simply means someone had a good admin process at hand, nothing more than that. “Leaving the other bits aside” as I said, I wish y’all the best of luck in finding other sponsors asap, so you don’t need to do that

@hughsie oh, the LF took a donation for a project without the donor already being a LF member? That's new, right? I wonder if that's generalised or was a one-off for you?
