I&#39;m pondering some interesting talks I could suggest for #OSFC this year. Does anyone want me to talk about anything specific for firmware, #fwupd or LVFS topics? I&#39;m thinking doing a pretty aggressive FU aiming at some of the major hardware vendors, but I&#39;m not sure my boss would approve. Other ideas welcome.

@hughsie I think it would be great to get a lot of stats 📊 like growth over the years (vendors + products), and picture the potential for more. Stories of how things went, pointing out the role models among vendors and how they deployed their upgrades, being pretty positive overall might encourage other vendors to improve. I think they can be shown that upgrades are part of the competitive game, especially given recent regulations in the EU and other countries following along.

@hughsie how about the work that happens behind the scenes with security scanning and monitoring and how it helps both vendors that sign up and of course users?

@hughsie Yes please! While you've done great work in the laptop/desktop space, I feel there is a large hole in the server/enterprise space. What's going on there, and definitely an FU story to any vendor who's not developed a great plan.
