wow, i had no idea, i did notice that northern South America has a great many introduced plants but i'm not sure if that cultural information is known, i sure never knew that
this photo was taken at the Marvelous Spatuletail reserve in Cocachimba, Peru but i saw flowers like this many places

@peachfront A lot of our indigenous plants have made their way across the world. Geraniums, Ixia and friesia to name but a few, which is what happens when you live in the smallest biome in the world (Fynbos) with the highest endemic plant count in the world. To put that in perspective there are more unique species of plants on Cape Town's Table Mountain chain (40 km long) than there are in the whole of the UK.
