@CellySally oh you have out-smart-arsed me there. Actually, I am a lot happier now knowing that it's a real theremin on the track! Especially as I'd heard Brian Wilson going on about how he heard it on sci-fi tv shows and wanted it on the record. I felt cheated when I thought it wasn't a theremin.

@CellySally incidentally, there is a MOOG factory not too far from where I live. Sadly it's a defence(!) manufacturing company started by the brother(?) of the synth genius Moog.
