@gilesgoat ah but now you’re talking about a sim rather than an RPG, they’re not the same. RPGs are narrative by nature, the mechanics are just the glue which adds uncertainty. Whenever there’s a random chance for nothing to happen, guaranteed it’ll happen at the worst time that takes all the wind out of everyone’s sails. There’s a reason movies and books never have a part where the heroes take an action and it results in nothing; it’s a waste of everyone’s time.
