Hello Mastodon, I am an IT professional working in higher education. I've been seeking to build my education within IT, and in particular, networking technologies. I've become interested in open source and ethical computing, and I've been working on breaking away from reliance on giant tech corporations. It's been a great pleasure building on my education, gaining some independence, and seeing some intersectionality between my more hobbyist tech projects and my professional goals. I'm still new to all of this, but am very much enjoying the learning process. I hope to be able to use the knowledge and experience I gain in order to improve some of our IT and network infrastructure we use at the college I work at, and in education in general. If anyone is interested in hearing about some of my personal projects or professional goals, I'd be happy to share. #introduction
