@Texan_Reverend@kind.social On that note do you think the charcoal filters that IKEA also makes available are worthwhile? I guess mostly in the context of smog for my use case.

@lunareclipse While I appreciate the handful of activated carbon pellets that were included in some of my filters, I wouldn't spend the same amount on the carbon as on the HEPA - which appears to be the cost at IKEA here. For activated carbon to have a really meaningful impact and not just get used up super quickly, there needs to be a _lot_ of it. Kilograms of it. Less than that can still have any amount of benefit, but not very much. Filtering the particulate is the more important aspect.
