What a wild butterfly effect: Ruby Central invites DHH to RailsConf and now: * Almost out of money * Bad feelings/animosity with at least some of the major Ruby open source contributors * ED fired * board almost totally turned over * primary function (rubygems.org maintenance) now being hopefully outsourced to volunteers * some AI bullshit All RC had to do was simply NOT platform him. No big statement, no virtue signaling, nothing. All they had to do was have RailsConf.
