@mangochutney @wklj Yeah, I can hear a difference most of the time with compressed vs lossless in an a/b but I have to admit, I don’t care and listen to most things (even streaming lossless) over fucking Bluetooth. What ChiFi brand did you go for? I do actually need some wired IEMs

@film_girl @wklj I went the other way a while back because I wanted to listen to music more intentionally again and I continue to be miffed by the fact that the lifespan of my AirPods is dictated by a consumable component. I do miss active noise cancellation sometimes, though. After a lot (like _a lot_) of comparing of frequency charts, I bought the „Hisenior Mega7“. They a very good middle-of-the-pack IEM with modern tuning, similar to what you would see in the AirPods Pro or high-end Sony wireless in-ears. I really like the sound and fit. Resolution is really good. They leave my 2019 Campfire Audio Andromeda in the dust and these cost more than double back then (today’s iteration of the Andromeda is even more expensive).
