@hareldan what's the Earth Engine restructuring you're referring to? I know about them requiring the use of Projects, but actually saw that as their attempt to make the service profitable (which, IMO, was better than them shutting it down just because they're Google). I think I'd also disagree with that conclusion. Earth Engine was high code, IMO, but low-data management, and I think these companies showed a path to enough people who want it. With STAC + Dask, it's much easier to deploy.

    @nickrsan I don't think GEE can ever be profitable. It's an amazing niche, and Google are leveraging GEE as an analysis/insight tier over their maps platform. But look at what made headlins for GEE: environment, climate, humanitarian. There's no money in it. So becuase it's not a standalone website, it makes slightly harder to adopt. And once the corporates will see the bottom lines, they'll pull the plug. Google have a horrìd track record in this regard, I'm not an optimist.
