@SallyStrange Bobby used to do some guest shows with my tiny hometown community college jazz band, before he got famous (before I was born) and again later in life (where I got to be on the same stage as him, my god that was a treat). I only discovered Robert's history last year when I stumbled on a vinyl record of "Deep River and other classic Negro Spirituals", and connected the dots... equally phenomenal talent <3
