@alexchapman @LWorksGames you know what's funny I was in the same place, but Accessible Coconut surprisingly loaded up on a VM really well and I could get non-choppy sound out of it. Had all the nicetys set-up with speech dispatcher, sound at log-on and per-user, all that, so I stuck with it. Accessible Coconut it is, Ubuntu-based. I think 22.04. It has Glib 2.35. If you compile your game on anything newer, say, Glib 2.38, you might run into older Linux distros not being able to run it, so actually 2.35 is reasonable.
