They are not hypocrites, they are fascists. Fascism prioritizes power over rationality or rules based order.
They flaunt the fact that they don’t care about the rules because it’s a way to show they have power that others lack. It’s a domination thing.

Fascism and hypocrisy overlap often times. Power is not just 'hard', it's also 'soft'. Fascists often live in denial of that fact. If you as a "man" need a fist to make people listen - because you can't do so by your own word, then you already lost.
