I finally consolidated some thoughts that have been knocking around my head for a while around how you can combine two existing Japanese technologies to enable sleeper services on the Shinkansen.

(It was so disappointing, as part of the research/writing process, to discover that the Hokuriku Shinkansen final leg to Osaka via Kyoto and Obama has been delayed, once again due to government meddling. My previous article being proven right.)
