I just finished my final review of 118 applicants for a summer posting we had up. After two rounds of quick review against our must-haves and want-to-haves, I was left with 16. The third review is deeper and involves assessment. After I finished my scoring, I looked again at the cover letters. 11 of the 16 were absolutely written by AI, with one more likely assisted by AI. Of the others, three are in my top four. #AritificalIntelligence #hiring

So... AI may help candidates get through the initial filters, but it does little to make a candidate stand out. If you're applying for a job, don't rely on the output of your favoured AI system. Even if it improves the quality of your application, you will get lost in the chaff. Bring yourself to your application so that you stand out. I'm not interested in what predictive model says about you... I'm interested in you. #ArtificialIntelligence #Hiring
