@iinavpov@mastodon.online @cstross@wandering.shop one of the reasons I basically don't accept follows from mastodon.[social|online] is because both of those places are utterly *infested* with a whole variety of influence campaigns from state actors, scummy marketing firms, and medical quacks. Especially anti-vax and Covid deniers.

@rootwyrm@weird.autos @iinavpov@mastodon.online I vet all follow requests from those instances and block any that have even the faintest off-odor. (And I check their toot/reply history, not just their profile.)
