@hatch_stir niche might work, yeah.. I'm trying to think if there are niche kinks I wouldn't include in this category though.. like if somepony was sharing something like their fursona turning into a car, it's something that's uncommon, but wouldn't feel the same as watersports. It's more about what the reaction of somepony might be? I'm bouncing around "stigmatized", but that feels rude in the other direction..
