If you're under 50 and have risk factors, don't wait. Ask for the tests now. With it on both sides of my family it was a very short discussion with my GP, thankfully all clear for now.
A friend didn't find out till he was 50 and has already been through two sets of treatment.
Early detection and treatment is key.

@FloatingOnion unfortunately for me, I didn't know I had risk factors - I'm an MSH2 Lynch Syndrome carrier, but only one of my uncles had anything that could have been an indicator (bladder). Both parents were free of indicators. Now we do know, my kids will be better informed.
