@siftinsand I once made marmalade toffee. Gf had to go out and gave me comprehensive instructions on what to do, how long to let it bubble, if too runny wait 5min then etc etc. of course I got distracted, left it boil too long then put it in jars. It *looked* perfect, but was set like glass

@siftinsand our neighbour has a fig tree in full fruit, but she's in her 80s and her son has turned the backyard into a hoarder's junk pile, so nobody except the lorikeets can get to the fruit
