For the past months I've been reverse-engineering Grindr (gays & queers social network), documenting its API and creating Open Grind, a free, libre, open-source Grindr client implementing my findings. When GrindrPlus shut down, Open Grind became its de-facto successor, announced by GrindrPlus devs. It now has 70k downloads on Forgejo, 4k+ people in Telegram and 600+ in Matrix :) This is personally my biggest and most carefully crafted project yet. I made sure to setup and prove reproducible builds on all four platforms (android, windows, linux, macos), setup proper governance-managed signing, make everything 100% transparent and secure. It's now on Google Play, and F-Droid is reviewing the submission right now. Apple already verifying docs so TestFlight soon. It's MIT licensed, no ads, no analytics, no trackers, no telemetry, constantly audited and already forked numerous times! https://opengrind.org/ Source code: https://git.opengrind.org/open-grind/open-grind any questions and suggestions are welcome! #Introduction #foss
