@WastedRadiance Notepad++ didn't check the integrity of the update package, that was a security-101-first-lesson problem, solved without needing to introduce an appstore But disregarding if that threat vector is a problem for Signal or not, if people don't trust the Microslop Store, they shouldn't be using Windows anyway! It's not like they'll have exposure to _more_ threat actors, just more threat vectors for the same one @signalapp
