What I'm seeing a lot of instead is the "bad widow" critique. Oh no, she smiled! She hugged a guy! She wore colourful clothes, or ones that showed a bit of skin.
She existed as a woman, in other words.

Lemme tell you from personal experience, that's not how bereavement works. After I lost my wife I would have moments of deep grief, mostly when I was alone. And then the rest of the time I'd just go about my life. Normally. 6/
