@sl007 Places can certainly be notable. But that does not imply that every node, way or relation in OSM should be notable. What's your definition of a "place"?

@ainali @nightrose Yep, this comes down to a "concept" for named nodes and would mostly scope relations. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Permanent_ID It is pretty fragmented in the osm wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Permanent_ID/Proposal-QID etc.
