A colleague mentioned spotting "milk latte" as an item on our lunch delivery menu today. Me: Isn't that just "milk milk"? ("Latte" doesn't mean a milky coffee in Italian. It's just "milk". Likewise, "soy latte" shouldn't mean coffee made with soy milk. It should just mean soy milk itself and be written as "latte di soia".) (If I sound pedantic about it, blame my other half for the bad influence.) (But not that much bad influence: I am perfectly fine with pineapple on pizza.)
