@TobyBartels I'd agree on the first question if it read "What has more mass?" If you are asking about the weight, i.e. the "force that pulls out down, you need to take buoyancy into account, which scales with volume – so on earth, the kg of feathers"pulls down" slightly less than the same mass of lead.     @ysegrim Yes, the trick in this variation is really about mass. Someone in a quoted thread pointed out that the feathers are probably stacked higher where they feel a weaker gravitational force too.
