It also gives exactly one sentence to the arguments opposing chatcontrol, while in the next quoting someone pro-chatcontrol grossly misrepresenting privacy activists as wanting free speech to include sexual abuse of children.
I don't even know where to begin correcting the author of this article.

@titaniumbiscuit @echo_pbreyer @chatcontrol Looking into the author's previous texts, this is even worse: The author clearly knows that this technology is unreliable & not fit for use. Just 2 months ago she wrote an article complaining that meta submits inaccurate/bad reports to NCMEC: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2026/feb/25/meta-ai-junk-child-abuse-tips-doj Yet, this new article cites NCMEC statistics without at all mentioning that meta is responsible for most reports and that these are inaccurate.
