@teamtype Have you looked at the work of Floobits? https://github.com/Floobits They were trying to make a business out of collaborative editing plugins and got multiple editors working together: Sublime Text Neovim Emacs IntelliJ IDEA Looks like the client code is Apache license, so you could look at their protocol.
