@osterwood For longer-running requests, notifications or to allow devices to send own requests, the network coordinator could just poll them. An extension that enables those cases could be reasonably simple, but as soon as multiple coordinators are involved, it may be simpler to go with 6lobac (RFC8163).

@osterwood I'm super tempted to write down possible solutions, but it's probably wiser to let that be guided by use cases – how would you use this? Do you expect devices to act as clients too, or to have multiple clients on a bus?
