So, a year ago a friend of mine invited me onto her podcast to talk about the furry lifestyle. She's a dominatrix and her other episodes focus on different types of sex and fetish talk, but she specifically wanted to have a conversation about furry culture and experiences that isn't centered on the sexuality that some people assume is the focus of the community.
I agreed and invited my good friend @Sharkey to help out as he's been in the furry fandom a lot longer than I have.

@Zeta@meow.social @Sharkey@meow.social ooo, can't wait to hear, especially to compare how my experiences as a furry since the mid-90s compare, since there are like infinite ways to be involved in the fandom (or be less/not involved but still consider oneself to be a furry)

@Zeta@meow.social @Sharkey@meow.social I'm actually a little disappointed, your friend the host seemed to talk as if she was under the impression that furry is centered around costuming, that every furry either has or wants a suit. I don't know if something was lost in editing but both of y'all seemed to run with it, never mentioning that costumes are only a small part of the fandom.
